Hatchbacks?
I was just wondering which cars were hatchbacks. Is it just the hardtops? or did they convert them in later years. What models and years did they offer the trunks option in?

Technically, the Coupe is a hatchback. Even says so on my vehicle registration.
Coupes were made in 1997-2004.
Convertibles started in 1998.
Hardtops (FRC) were made in 1999-2000.
Z06s, which also are hardtops, were made 2001-2004.
Trunks are in convertibles and hardtops.

The above pretty much sums it up.
Many car lots (including AutoTrader.com and Cars.com) have ads in them that state such and such a C5 Corvette has a hatchback. Technically, that would be the coupe model.
Edit: Now that I've re-read post #2, that's what he said in the very first sentence!

I always thought a hatchback was when the whole rear end of the car is part of the hatch, like tail lights and everything.

Yup, a coupe would be a Hatch top, but not a hatchback

My 01 "Hatchback" coupe also has a removable "targa" top allowing me to drive topless
(all coupes have targa or T-top I think)
