I have a mint CE with 5000 miles on it and i am trying (we will see how long it lasts) not to mess with it too much. Yesterday i put my BB Bulllets on it and i am trying to decide if i want to keep going. I have the blackwing with the bellows kit sitting in my garage that i took off my 04 Vert, but I dont really know what is out there. I know that it is all personal preference but IS THERE ONE THAT REALLY WORKS THE BEST?????
this is a little offtopic but is your car a real Z06 with the convertible conversion done to it?
yeah, doug, i bought my '02 used (carfax one owner) so unfortunately i don't know who performed the conversion. when i first saw it, i was skeptical. but with the help of friends (wicked_z06, for one) and some research on my own ("s" is the eighth character in the vin, 243 casting on the heads, ls6/z06 specific rpo codes, etc.), i was confident that it was a true z0. and the fit and finish is factory quality so whoever did the work knew their way around a c5.
for around $30K with (at the time, july '07) 29,604 miles on the odometer, i am extremely happy with the find.

Your Blackwing would be the best IMO b/c you already have it and don't have to spend any money. All you need to do is spend a few minutes to install it. If you want to upgrade that you could add a high-flow airbridge and smooth coupler, anything else that might be a little better would be within a couple HP, nothing you'd notice.
