You didn't say what part of the States you are planning on visiting. For an idea visit the section you are planning on visiting on this site under "Events" Your Avatar doesn't say where you are from.....

Default Vegas meetings

If you visit Vegas, check out the Sin City thread in the Southwest section. We usually do a gtg on saturdays.

Erik, here's a link that I used when I was in California last year. I'm sure the site will be updated as your travel days come closer.

I'd also check the SoCal-section (or NorCal, depending on where you're heading) of the forum and local Corvette clubs' event calendars.

If you've never been to California before, you're gonna love it! At least I did..

Hi Erik,

A couple of things here in Nor-Cal:

1) Hooters Cruise, Santa Cruz Mtns CA
Not sure how long you'll be here but at the end of May '08, usually around Memorial Day Weekend we have our annual Hooters cruise. Its all corvettes, cruise starts at the top of highway 17 (Santa Cruz Mountains) and loop around south towards Salinas and back up to Dublin, past San Jose. There will be a post in the Northern California section a couple of weeks before so you might want to check that out.

2) Good Guys Hot Rods, Pleasanton CA
Also, the Goodguys (hot rods) will have an annual show in Pleasanton CA, east bay, about an hour drive east from SF (not sure where you'll be staying at). 2008 events/listings can be found here:
http://www.good-guys.com/events/even...aspx?year=2008

3) Santana Row, SJ CA
If you are going to be in San Jose CA, at Santana Row (Stevens Creek Blvd & Hwy 880 (hwy 17 to those that grew up here)) every saturday morning like at 7am there's usually a gathering of exotic and interesting cars. Its always different every saturday. Do a search on "Santana Row" in the Nor-Cal section and you'll see what I mean (pictures).

4) Sears Pt & Laguna Seca race tracks
There are always the race tracks -- we have Infineon/Sears Point race track in Sonoma and Laguna Seca race track in Monterey. Schedules can be found here:

-- Sears Point: http://www.infineonraceway.com/sched...te%5Fschedule/
-- Laguna Seca: http://www.laguna-seca.com/events/

Check back as we get closer to 2008.

5) Concours d'Elegance
Lastly if you are into the exotic cars, check out the Concours d'Elegance in Monterey CA. This is usually held towards the end of summer (around August). Go here:
http://www.pebblebeachconcours.net/p...5/Calendar.htm

If you are into the import scene...I used to go just for the models ;-)...check out Hot Import nights:
http://www.hotimportnights.com/events/

Ok I think that should do it. Not sure exaclty what you were looking for. I'm a car guy myself so I like to attend all if not most of these events. Might also want to post in the Nor-Cal and So-Cal sections. Sometimes there are smaller shows and smaller cruises. And So-Cal probably has a whole bunch of car events too such as A&A Corvettes (tuner) who does an annual bbq (summer time; all Corvettes--very big). Website here: http://www.aandacorvette.com/

BTW nice name.

Good luck!,

Hi Eric,I saved every word so I don't have to use the search button in a few months time.Downside is that there may be some more meetings coming up but are planned in early 2008 for lets say March/April/May..Just like you said...were to go??That all depends on the meetings in 2008.The more dates and places I have now,the easier it is to make a route.I have a small videoclip(15 minutes)from A&A....that's awesome.A guy is filming his drive to A&A and some more when he arrives!! A nice clip for in the wintertime when you have a small depression .
So thanks so far and just keep them coming...off course I will keep my eye on the Norcal en Socal events calender!!
