275/40/18 up front?

275/40/18 up front?
im buying a set of wheels and i was wondering if i can put my old tires up front... i'm gonna throw 295/35/19 tires on the back...

i tried it and it worked while i was standing still
i donno what would happen if you take a speed bump or something
try switching fronts with rears and see what happens
the max recommended size that i have hared about was 265

40's are a pretty tall sidewall... I have 35's on the front and they're perfect for me.

i'm pretty set on 18x9.5 and 19x11 chrome c6 z06 wheels - i just need tires now... and i don't know what brand or size to get

Not unless you drive without traction control all the time.
The front tires will be taller than the rears, and this will cause the traction control to come on during normal driving.
A 265/35/18 would be a good front size to match the 295/35 on the rear.
