I got a new Z06 clutch kit installed in my C5 coupe in April of 06 for $450 labor charges. I got the kit from an auction site vendor for around $400.

I usually do that kind of stuff on my own but this time around, I will be paying for it to get it done. I have been quoted $300.00 for it but its a double deal. We are taking in two C5s for the swap so we got a little discounted price. The guy does a lot of custom Corvette stuff so I have faith in him. Of course, the whole thing will be executed in my strict supervision as he mentioned that I must be better than him doing it on the jackstands by myself and with the help of my buddy Oak

Those are some good prices. I've been quoted 11 hours @ $100 an hour!

The price can also be affected by the fact that if your car has LongTube Headers, it's going to be more expensive as you have to remove the headers, or at least unbolt them to get them out of the way. If you have stock manifolds then I would say it should not cost more than 400-425 ball park labor. Parts, well just depends on if you are going stock or aftermarket.

Your labor price must be pretty cheap. Our rates out here are $85 an hour.

There is no way to do the job in less than a day, heck the pilot bearing alone normally takes a couple of hours to get out.

Textralia Clutch $950, Z06 Master and salve $250, Pilot Bearing $15.

I would make sure that I put in quality materials as it's a biotch to pull everthing out again.

It took me a day and half by myself to do install mine but that included installing tranny wire harness, bell housing, etc... as I converted from an auto to a stick.

It took me a day and a hlf to get the auto tranny and other related parts out.

I did job on jackstands.

I have long tubes. The $450 in labor that I quoted earlier was from a speed shop that is a sponsor of the local Vette club. While they had the headers off, they called and suggested new plug wires. They replaced them at no additional costs.

That's a good deal. I don't thing we have a shop like that around here.
