Default Deck/trunk Lid Question

I just purchased a c5, The deck lid don't pop up high enough to get your fingers under it to raise it up. What to do to repair it?
I wonder if an outside form fitting cover from a C4 will work properly on the C5?
Thanks

WD 40 is your friend...give the latch mechanism a good dose...then fill in some of your profile

If this is a convertible, a FRC (fixed roof coupe) (a '99 or 2000) or it is a 2001-2004 Z06, then that is just about as high as they release. If you lube it with WD40 or a white lithium grease like previously advised, it might pop a bit higher, but they just don't come up like you might expect. If it's a coupe, maybe someone else can comment.
