I was wondering what parts are leather and what parts are vinyl in the interior of the C5. Obviously my seats are leather, but what about the door panels ? The console ? the shift ****, brake **** and boots are leather. Steering wheel is leather on the wheel, vinyl front ? Dash is vinyl or leather etc...
And what products do you recommend to clean and detail the interior ?
Appreciate the advice here, don't want to put a product for vinyl on leather.
ZAINO leather products or LEMON PLEDGE can be used on both vinyl or leather. AL KNOCH uses the latter on his leather products...it's an old detailers trick. Some prefer to use 303 PROTECTANT as it leaves a nice matt finish w/o being greasy looking.
If you post this question over in the 'Car Care' section you should get a lot of advise. There are a lot of knowledgeable and detailing professionals that hang out there frequently...

I've been using 303 Aerospace all the time on my cars, but i wasn't sure if it was okay for leather also. So I could do my whole console, dash, door panels with 303 ?
Only part of the seats are leather the high wear areas are vinyl.
The ***, back and head are leather .. the sides (like on the seat part) are vinyl ... I've been using Lexol Cleaner and Lexol PH Balanced Conditioner on my seats.

303 makes a cleaner and a separate protector, It's all I'm allowed to use on the tonneau cover on my truck. I have heard the Lexol products are good too because they are not petroleum based. 303 is easier for me to get, that's why I use it but I am quite happy with the results. As hotwheels57 points out it's not too shinny.
Zaino leather cleaner and conditioner for the seats, Meguiar's Quik Detail Wipes for the vinyl which leaves a perfect non-greasy satin finish. Compared to others, I have found that the Meguiar's makes the dash look classier and less plasticky...although I haven't tried 303 which others on this forum swear by.
