pumping the gas....
having issues starting my car.... only when it cold.... seems like it wont start unless i pump the gas...but it's EFI right? that makes no sense.....it'll start right up when its warm.. only in the mornings it gives me trouble...

how's your battery? batteries put out fewer amps when cold, and the more viscus oil requires more starter power to get the engine running. does it seem like the starter is struggling to rotate the motor or does it seem like its not getting fuel?

Check your fuel pressure with the key on (engine not running). It should be going up to 58 lbs (+/-) and STAY there.

Its an electronic drive by wire throttle. You can pump the gas all you wish and it won't do a thing when the engine isn't running. However...if the throttle itself has a problem then you might be making it work. If you feel the throttle really is causing a difference, then replace it.
