Default The noise thing again!

I have a 2k with stock exhaust. Until recently, I didn't know what the stock system sounded like because of the noisy run flat tires. With my new non-rf's, I can now hear the exhaust sound which has a nice tone, but a little quiet. It also pops a bit which i don't like.

I'm not one for loud exhaust, and want to know if changing to an X pipe from the original H would give a little more and better sound? If so, what's your experience with the different makes.

Putting on an X pipe to a stock exhaust is a waste of money. You can go with a Corsa with an X pipe and that will not be too loud.

I have Corsa exhaust on mine. It still 'pops' a little If I stretch through the gears.

I bought my Magnaflow (and x-pipe) after I read this article:

If you are getting a little popping, an x-pipe should help you out - it did on mine. I went with a Bassani.

Thanks for the input.

From the response to this thread, I conclude that the X pipe will eliminate the popping, but to increase the sound (and power) a catback is the best way. The article on the Magnaflow was great. I was very surprised at the 15% improvement in peak hp. Seems to me that the combination is the way to go.
