I have a C5Z and Im looking for a trailer to haul my vette to the track. I am looking at a open car hauler, what size, type, brand trailer are you all using. It is slammed on bolts and not really sure on which one to get.
Thanks
I have an 18 foot BriMar that I have used for 3 seasons and am very satisfied with it. It has a dropped tail and internally stored ramps. No problem on getting a lowered car on. Be sure to get a dual axle with brakes on both axles and to get one with removable fenders unless you like climbing out of windows.
I run a low deck 22' trailer that tilts. The angle of the trailer is very low and works well with my lowered Z. My only problem is opening the door. I have to crawl in/out through the trunk! I advise getting a removable fender.

I also have the BriMar 18" open bed trailer and it works just fine for a lowered C5.
I've got a 20' aluminum open trailer from R&R (www.rnrtrailers.com). The feature I like is that the fenders are low enough so that I can open/close the door of my C5 without having to remove the fenders. My car is lowered on the stock bolts, but not all the way.
The ramps mount to the front of the trailer. The positive is that it doubles as a bug shield. The negative is that you physically have to move the ramps to load/unload your car. You also want to have the ramps "longer than stock" to not scrape your fascia.
I have an 18' Trailex aluminum trailer. It sits fairly low, and had low fenders, so no need to remove. My C5Z is lowered, and I have no problem getting it on and off, or opening the doors. Plus, it works great with my other cars as well. I previously had a steel, open deck trailer. After owning the Trailex, I would never go back to a steel trailer. Saving the 1000 lbs in towing weight is a very nice thing, very noticable on the highway, especially going up hills. Trailex is high quality stuff, IMHO.
