My '04 Torch Red coupe is asking for some engine bling. I thought if any one has any thoughts such as cost, ease of installation and who has a fair price. I've been reading and from the forums, the chrome covers are not lasting.
As of the moment I think red covers and parts are the way to go.
Since I have a TR coupe I will do you a favor and volunteer my car to be a test mule. You can buy some underhood bling items and install them on my car, if you like the way it looks you can buy some more stuff to add them to you car. Lets start with some carbon fiber pieces...

The car below belongs to my friend and fellow Forum member dw99vette. He used a combination of painted parts and polished stainless steel parts. One of the nicest looking engine bays I've seen.
Edit: Most (if not all) of the polished stainless parts came from eBay. Do a search for "Corvette Stainless".

Here's mine in black & polished stainless...

Purchased some items from Creative Engine Concepts. The pieces are well made and have a great chrome finish. These are not stainless. Went back and fourth about it. Lot's of guys here said the stainless get's scratched up failry easily and I know that would irritate me. Chrome is more $$$ but I know from my motorcycle that chrome can't be beat.
I find detailing my car a pleasure, once a month and not driven if there is any possibility of rain, to establish where I am comming from.
I find polishing and cleaning under the hood very time consuming and for this reason have left the cleaning of the SLP Black Wing filter to a once a month ordeal, a bitch to put on and take off to get it right.
I must in all honesty praise you for wanting to show more of the car details as obviously you are into the show circuit and the red engine scheme shown in a previous post is my idea of what it should really look like in full dress, he also posted some good pointers to where to obtain said parts at about 30% of retail if in excellent to new condition.
Go for it and may you enjoy every moment it brings you, me I polish chrome plated wheels, exhaust tips (Corsa Indy's) and items that show as my vehicle is a daily driver.

Here are a few pics.
Chrome is lots better. Got most of mine from the same place. You won't like the stainless after you have had it a while. Heres mine in Yellow.
