It's perfect again
Some of you may have remembered my little mishap with my front bumper. Well today I put the finishing touches on it. My baby's all better now thanks to a can of GM Torch red and a can of clear and a lot of sanding with 2000 and 1500 grit paper and much buffing with various compounds and wax's.
Ouch!!!
First attempt not bad but not perfect
Finished product good as new Ahaaaa.

Rock chips are tough especially if you have metallic paint. Metallics are harder to match and blend. Sometimes the chips look better than a botched repair job IMO. My advise would be to just have the whole bumper repainted. I was lucky because my damage was down low so it didn't have to a 100% perfect. If you get down on your hands and knees and look at it real close in good light it's not perfect but real close.

Thanks guys. I'm real happy with the way it came out I surprised myself. I was really bummed out about it when I found that. I don't really even know when I did it. It's a 98 garage queen with only 20K on it and it's in perfect condition so I was really upset with myself.
