Default Someone please explain this.

Ok, I have a 2000 C5 with a couple window problems. I have already tried wiggling the wires, slamming the door, and pounding on the door while holding the down window button.

The passanger side window works fine from the passanger side. Neither the passanger window, passanger window, or driver's window works from the driver side. I do not hear a click from the window controls on the driver's side. I tried pushing down with my feet around the fusebox area of the passanger seat, and then I tried the driver's window and it worked. However it does not work very long.

What is going on?

-thanks

Your switch might be dead.

This may have already been suggested to you, but when I was having problems getting my passenger side window down, I pulled of the passenger door panel off, unplugged the relay box, gave the window motor a couple light taps with my screwdriver handle, plugged everything back in, and it's worked fine ever since.

I could hear clicking when I pushed the window buttons, but the window wouldn't go down. If you can't hear any clicking, your issue may be different from mine.

I thought this might be the problem, but then why did it work a few times when I pushed down on the area by the passanger footwell?

Any help?

Maybe you're wires been chewed through by something, but I have absolutely no idea how that could be.

take the door panel off and inspect the wiring. Somtimes the connections are just dirty. If there is a wire crunched or broken it should be visible.

Does anyone have an explanation to why pressing on the passanger's side footing area helps the driver's side window to work?

I pulled codes, and there were no current ones. There were some old ones dealing with the BCM and PCU I think.

Any suggestions?
