oriental rugs as floor mats? I'm looking to do something a little bit different. I currently have Lloyd's mats & quite frankly they're boring. Has anyone here used oriental carpets & if so could you post some pics?

Not for the C5's but they're great in the family Taureg! Wife gets them at TJ Maxx or Loehman's for next to nothing. When they start looking shabby, we toss and replace.

Well the mats are gray & the passenger one is heavily soiled from my wife dumping a 52oz mug of Pepsi on it. I actually did order a set of front floor mats from G.G. Bailey. I haven't installed them because my wife needed to borrow the car to throw candy at children in some parade.
She is very unhappy that I bought the oriental carpet floor mats.
She has said some things that are similar to some of the responses in the thread including the smilie & references to a donkey show limo.
But I told her that they were going into my car & not hers & she sighed in relief. She did however just have the 2nd engine in her '74 grenade on her before Thanksgiving. Since I will have to pay for this fiasco as well I thought why not treat myself... The car already has burlwood pieces, now it will have nice oriental carpets & for the finishing touch I will place a jar of Grey Poupon mustard in the cup holder.

Actually not too well, although I can't base the decision to buy the floor mats on the tumor sitting on my pituitary gland. I'm having surgery on Thursday to have it removed. My wife says I'll be a different person. Oh God! I hope I still like the floormats after the operation or I'll have to put them in the Passat.
