November at the Track

Speedworld Nov 3rd..In the hi 90's no less.. actually *hot* !!
I was gettin 2.2 60' times and 14.20's at just a hair less than 100mph out of her, and doin just terrible at the lights for R/T's .. an .021 on the wrong side of the green, and .1 somethings on the good side.
The new tires hook quite a bit better, not nearly as much spin as the runflats had, 295 KDW T/A's (they're about an inch or so wider than the stock size runflats that were on the back).
Runflats would spin about 20 feet outta the hole .. these turn over about twice ..mebbe 5 feet and then hook hard.
I know, I know .. it should be faster. People that say that are usually runnin headers, exhaust, CAI, etc.
My lil Vette is stock.. 3.15's in the back and the Z-51 suspension doesn't help weight txfer at all.
Still a blast to drive, and had the Mustang GT that was there covered by almost a full second.
The SRT-8 wagon that was there had me covered by about 7 tenths..but he wasn't 'stock' ..altho even stock they're pretty nicely setup
Looks like my next step is converter and 4.10's -evil grin-

Stock car + rookie driver + bad weather = crappy times.
Mod the car, make more passes, and go back when the weather cools off.
So .. let me just return the over generalization 'favor'
Hey kid (aka yellohhh) ..how long you been racin?
Read up on density altitude some time.
You might get a clue.
-Frank (reminds me of all the 'fast' guys comin up from Pomona, gonna show us all at LACR how 'fast' they were ..and some of them couldn't even get *into* my bracket after runnin their mouth in the pits)

14.2s?
