I have heard people say that powerful cars like the Z06 will lunge if you simply graze the throttle. They say that you don't really need to press on the gas that hard for it to fly. I drive a 04 Z06 and I don't think the throttle is THAT sensitive. I mean if I push it in more than 2/5 then the power comes out but some people make it sound like just softly touching the pedal will make it fly...

It's weird how some lower end cars like the Corolla has sensitive initial throttle but after 30 MPH, it takes some force to get them going. Then you look at cars like the E-class which have around 260 hp and the initial throttle sensitivity is pretty bad and you have to use some force to get it going. I know this because I have both cars in my family.
We've got an Acura (260hp) and a Toyota (269hp)--so neither one is underpowered by most people's standards--and both have very sensitive throttles. It takes a bit of care to get away smoothly. OTOH, I find the tip in with the Corvette throttle to be nicely progressive and getting away smoothly is easy.
