I have a MY 2003 Z06 and i noticed that I don't have the window "??blow out clips??" at the top of the window. Are these super important? Why would these be missing? Can anyone be willing/able to run carfax report for free for me? I know they run a unlimited setup and If anyone would be kind enuff to do this it would be a great help. The stealership said that it hasn't been in a wreck but I am wondering?

Sounds as if your windshield was replaced. The a** company that did mine did not install them on the frame/rail. Seems that GM makes you order this part and they do not come with the weatherstrip 'frame/rail' (whatever it is called) so the technician had to pull the weatherstrip down, loosen the screws and slide the clip back in. Not that hard of a job but if the rail has been on for awhile might make it more complicated. They can be reused, they stick with the adhesive that comes with the frame/rail.
frame/rail = weatherstripping retainer
Edit: They are kind of important because it keeps the window sealed and would prevent wind noise and possibly moisture from getting in.
I bought a car without a blow out clip a few months ago. At 70mph or so the window would lose it's seal and there would be terrible wind noise. You definately need a blow out clip, unfortunately when I ordered one I was told they had been discontinued (at least temporarily) and weren't availible. So you're going to have to find one at a junkyard or from that one big auction site.
Had my windshield replaced and all the w/s on both doors plus the trim too!
Both "window clips" are gone because of this. Didn't realize until to late that you had to take off from old trim(s) and put on new ones.
Had wind noise(no leaks) @70+ mph. Solution, adjusted windows to lean inward. Take rubber stopper (square one) out from bottom of door, while leaving window up. Then loosen bolt. take out door reflector and turn bolt counterclockwise( If i remember correctly) a little bit at a time until you see a "tightening" of window when you close the door. Or take for a test ride. Just remember to tighten bolt (bottom of door) first before closing door and taking the car for a drive!
Replace rubber stopper and door reflector when finished. Very easy to do. I think the window lines look "cleaner" without the "window clip" .but that just my 0.2
I wonder if there's any adjustment in them. I get wind noise on the passenger side and after looking at both of them it appears the pass side is out a bit further. My logic says if it's in more like the driver's side the wind noise will be gone.
Any thoughts would be helpful

Well I recvd same answer from gene that this part is no longer being made ...
So what do I have to go to a used car delearship and Steal one???
I mean c/mon GM , This so stupid...
At over 100 my driver side window wants to open up ...and the faster I go the worse it gets...
Obviously I was just kidding about the stealing but what do I do here ?
