Window Tinting
Having my windows tinted on my coupe. I was quoted $240 for the two door windows and rear window. Does this sound fair?

Its definetely high, but if the guy knows what he's doing on the back glass and will back up his work, it might be worth it. Alot of tint shops have no clue how difficult the rear window on the Vettes are...especially around the dot matrix areas

Sounds a bit high to me. I have a vert and know there is WAY less glass in the rear but mine cost $150 with a lifetime warranty.

I paid 190 and it was a very reputable shop using the best tint...so it does sound a little high.

Make sure they do not use any metal in the tint. I can barely receive AM or FM on my radio due to a metallic back window tint.

That's about the same price I was quoted from a shop in St. Louis - and I felt that was too high. Haven't looked into any other installers yet, but you should be able to get it done for under $200.

See if you can check out his work first,a good tint man can tint the back window on a coupe without the defrost wires showing through.

Depends where you live... I paid $250, which was on par with the four other placed around me in Northern Jersey that gave me quotes.
Friends in other cars also paid $200+

Way too high! Figure on $60 for the side windows, $100 for the rear window. Shop around a little.
