Got the dreaded sway bar creak. What's the most effective way to lube the bushings?

I removed my bushing clamps, greased the inside of the bushings, slid them back on, then greased the outside and both flanges on the clamps and tightened back up. It helped in the rear, however, I still creak and groan, especially the right front, so I'm going to have to dig a little deeper. This occurred for me after lowering, and continues even after replacing my shocks. I still don't know what is groaning....it is one of those sounds you don't want happening on your Vette, a little embarrassing.

I removed the sway bar bushings, front and back, cleaned the sway bar surface and the bushings themselves with just a towel. I put a light coat of Lithium grease on them and re-installed them. It's been about a year that I did this and it is still holding up. No squeaks.

I did the same, but I also greased the flat portion of the bushing that contacts the crossmember. Basically, all surfaces of the bushing. No squeaks here.

Try this method. Remove the sway bar bushings and clean the sway bar surfaces. Wrap the sway bar with some teflon plumbers tap where the bushing comes in contact with the sway bar. Lube the bushing sufaces and sway bar mating surface with Silcone grease. Reinstall and you should not have any more noise. Good luck with it.

are the sway bar bushings split so that you can just remove the bracket slip the bushing off the bar ?

When I installed my Z06 bars they creaked also I used the same method as SUPERCRUZ and they are now 100% quiet.
