Well here's another story on flipping the logo...
Supposedly, the company producing the emblem flipped the slide for the final proof for the new emblem, putting the flags on the opposite sides. There were quite a few produced and put on cars before the mistake was caught and production managers decided to leave it alone considering all the other headaches to overcome producing the new models at a new plant. This is a plausible explaintion if you have ever done any production work.

I noticed this several years ago:
C1 to C3 = Checkered flag on the right
C4 to C6 = Checkered flag on the left.

I guess the explaination of the template being reversed is feasible, I dont know. But like I said, nothing is/was ever done to the Corvette without a reason, thats why I have wondered. Just like changing the overall look of the emblems per model. If someone can find it out, it would be a good trivia stumper at the next street meet.
