Just finished installing a C6 shifter. I'm not too mechanically inclined but thanks to the great tutorial by Patches it went without a hitch. I took my time and the install took less than 2 hours.
One problem I did not get the screw to hold the shift ****. Can I get this part from a dealership or do I have to buy the ****?
You should be able to get the single fastener from the dealership or well supplied hardware store which carries metric or SAE fasteners. You just need to know the specific size.
If you bought the shifter from Gene, you might try him.
I searched on past CF discussions. I can't find a reference to the size of the small single fastener which secures the C6/Z06 ****.
If you're willing to do so, a drill bit and a tap would make the hole any size you want it to be.

If I recall right the screw was in a small plastic baggie that accompanied your order from Gene. Check your packing material it might be in with it.
I bought the shifter from Gene. Did not see the separate bag. However its possible that I lost it when I opened the box at work. I guess I was too excited. I wonder if I should contact Gene directly. He's been great with the whole process.
