Sounds about right to me.looks clean,id try haggling down a bit more.Theres more than 500 in the mark up for used cars a dealers lot.Or if they dont budge, try to hit them hard on a ex warrenty. Or make them put tires on it,Tell them you love the car,but got to go a little more with something.Good luck.
Car has new tires and breaks I think I am going monday morn when they open , They wont budge they say they have to much interest in it when I was there looking at it 2 guys took it for a ride and they had it on the lot fo just 7 days .
thanks
If this is the car that YOU want I say buy it! But there a lot of C5's out there for sale. Make sure this is the ONE!
It sounds like you've already made up your mind and your just looking for someone to agree with you. I don't, the car's not bad and the mileage is ok for a 99 but for one your going to have to spend some money to redo the seats and in the north at this time of year it's hard to sell a Corvette. Unless it a great deal which I don't think this is. If they aren't willing to come down anymore or offer an extended warranty for that price I'd pass. Look around I think you'll find a better deal.
Way to many miles. Try to find one with 15-20k miles...Then if you want to sell it you can get a good price. After you get over 75k on a vette the resale price goes down big time. Get one with under 20k miles.
I like it but the check gages ( sp is so funny) light is on when the car is idling in the one pic. http://www.corvettedoctor.com/Code_Main.html pull codes by using this site and see what they say (codes with h are history, codes with a c are current).
Car looks great to me. Plus it has ALL options? Look in the glove box, there is a sticker with a bunch of numbers. take a pic of this little sticker so we can see it and see what options it has.
I have had my 99 Coupe for 5 Years and out the door mine was 30k TT&L and it was a loaded one with both tops, mag wheels and F45 ride control that I liked until one of the shocks rubber bushings let go and you had to buy a whole shock from GM not just the bushing. So for a loaded Vert that is a good deal and if it checks out the LS1 will last a long time and replacement covers for the seats are not that bad and at only 40k my bolster is showing lots of wear, but what are we talking about a 9-10 year old Vette

It could be that the gas tank is nearly empty. That always causes the "check guages" light to come on. Most car lots don't put alot of fuel in cars, especially at today's prices. Also most car lots probably just put regular grade gas in them even if they should have premium.
You can take the vin to the service department and have them run a maint. history on the car which will show all service and repairs done by GM.

That is a low mileage car only 8,000 per yr avg. That aint s--t. I paid 17,200 for a 97 with 88,000 on it. I have 92.000 on it now and it still runs like a new car. The ls1 will go 300,000 if it is maintaned. The price is very good for a vert. If you can get them to throw in a 3 yr low deductable extended warranty that would be even better......
