hey guys what is the max whp that someone has made on ls1 bottom end. I am planning to put all the bolt ons and the most agressive heads and cams i can find and some spray. But I wonder if it could hold 650whp.
Ok wich is the head that gives the most power, wa is the most that stock head can be reved to.
Give us or a tuner close to you a call & you can get everything answered & know what to expect & what to budget. We build them to 1,000 RWHP & above. (not on stock bottom end though!)

I don't think that you could get an honest and reliable 650rwhp out of a stock bottom end. 500-550 is probably a more realistic number. There is no doubt that you could make 650rwhp but how long you could keep making it is what I wonder....especially with nitrous. You will need some forged parts to make it happen consistently. Just a hint of detonation at that power level and your stock bottom end will grenade.

Correct.
Stock pistons & the rod bolts being the weakest, so on that large of spray the rod bolts will stretch & fail eventually.
That's what I have heard. I figure I have about 550 at the flywheel with no problems so far. It's enough power to safely get on the freeway or stay in front of Viper drivers.
