Gotta love it
I like the Viper engine... a work of art; but the body looks too much like a kit-car to me.
We drive both the SRT-10 (stock) and our C5 vette (cleanly modded) together often. We always start debates about which car is better among people, its the funiest thing.
I remember from years back, everyone marveled at the looks and power of the Viper. However after close examination, you found the car was very hastily put together and the engine was atrocious. It's taken nearly 10-12 year to finally get that thing right. I have never in my life ever desired to have one.
I used to really want a Viper, I mean, I was definitely going to buy one, until I got serious a couple of years ago and test drove one at a dealership. And sadly, I have to say the car is a piece of crap. Only two things I liked about it, the looks, and lots of torque. Unfortunately, it was uncomfortable as hell, lousy ride, a nightmare to get in and out of, really bad visibility, completely cramped footwell, clunky junk gearbox, cheap interior, and the topper, the engine didn't sound that good. Not too mention, I had been driving my Vette for a while and really liked it. Still I was very disappointed because I really wanted one. It's like finally scoring with the girl of your dreams only to find out she's really lousy in bed.
