I'm just passing respects for their ride, if they feel like waving back great. I've expressed my opinion, but if they don't respond/reply, I'm not bothered by it.

Personally, from everything I know about this community (at least in the Northeast), it's a special community with a group of people who are all connected by their love of Corvettes. Doesn't matter what kind of job you have or how much money you make. It's a unique connection.

I give a wave to every driver, in every Corvette I see on the road. Most return the wave (acknowleging the 'secret society').
I'll do it, as long as I own a Vette (which should be quite a few more years).

The first time my 15-year-old daughter rode in my vette, I saw, in the mirror, another C-5 approaching from behind me in the next lane. I told her that the driver of the next car to pass us would wave to us. She gave me a "yeah, sure" but I repeated the prediction as I rolled down my tinted side window. Sure enough, when the other vette got next to us, the driver casually waved and I waved back. My daughter's jaw dropped to the floor.
