I wave at all vettes, if they wave back fine, if not, their loss.
Oftentimes when I don't a get a wave back it's because my vette brother did not see me. Hey, it's nice to be acknowledged but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

I or give a to any cool ride I see, not just Corvette's. If they see me, most return a smile or wave.
I'm just passing respects for their ride, if they feel like waving back great. I've expressed my opinion, but if they don't respond/reply, I'm not bothered by it.
So, like the wave? Yup. Worry about it? Nope, but for those that care about it, here's one for all of you too. Enjoy your ride.

Personally, from everything I know about this community (at least in the Northeast), it's a special community with a group of people who are all connected by their love of Corvettes. Doesn't matter what kind of job you have or how much money you make. It's a unique connection.
So, I say wave to our fellow Vette bretheren...we're a unique group of peps!
The first time my 15-year-old daughter rode in my vette, I saw, in the mirror, another C-5 approaching from behind me in the next lane. I told her that the driver of the next car to pass us would wave to us. She gave me a "yeah, sure" but I repeated the prediction as I rolled down my tinted side window. Sure enough, when the other vette got next to us, the driver casually waved and I waved back. My daughter's jaw dropped to the floor. You bet I still wave.
