I want open air... and I want to keep my car... to me, if it's not a track car it should have open air of some sort, really enhances the driving experience.
Yes the insulation will help w/ heat as well, but after installing an elite engineering thermal barrier on my home made aluminum tunnel plate heat is not an issue.
Yeah the harnes bar is out and sold

Brian- nice work so far Looks like you've got your hands full and a nice winter project going. I am looking forward to seeing your Targa conversion and the paint all done..should look sweet.
You'll like the E-dead..I used about half as much as you and it made a big difference IMO. I had Dave(DPG) and Greg (pentavolo) here on the forum do my stereo install...I went nuts though and did amps sub all that crap
I see you have put Mike to work
Good luck and keep us posted
BTW- what is that nice little silver thing sitting on top your motor hmmmm you did not mention anything about power add ons

Tonight's Update:
Got a good bit of work done tonight, thanks to Mark (stormrider) and Mike (illmac77) for the hands and company
Mark worked on the doors/mirrors while I tackled the rear wheel wells and brake ducts.
Here's what the inside of the rockers look like after 7 years of driving! I think I see some moss.
Here's some cleaning w/ laquer thiner and de-greaser.
Wheel liners, brake scoops and ducts out.
My growing pile of parts.
Took the hood off to do the underside.
Hood off.. took the Z06 logos off w/ a heat gun an fishing line.
Here's a quick shot of my new Pioneer Premier head unit and vrumvrum face plate. The head unit is brushed and will go nicely w/ my gauge bezels. The plate is a one of a kind... it's the first surround done w/ an '01 Z06 logo only. Vrumvrum will replicate it, but I have the only one as of yet
Here's what you do when you've been drinking captain/coke all night... the boat tie down spoiler... awesome!
All you catalog modders w/ the billet/chrome BS ain't got **** on this

I am getting some new HVLP guns for Christmas this year (hopefully) gonna start learning how to paint myself! I already have the paint stripped/sanded off my helmet gonna try some gohst flames over some torch red!
Good luck with the car, wish I was there to help out, looks like a blast!
