Im on my 3rd set and love um, I drove more on the track then I did the street this year but they def work. IMO I dont think there as good in the rain as some tires though.
I have had them on the car since July. They stick pretty well in the dry. Better in the wet then the F1's. If you really want dry traction only look at the Nitto R2's or a drag radial.
275/40/17 front and 295/35/18 rear. I am on my second set and have been very pleased with them. I got right at 23K miles on the first set and could have gone more if I had flipped them halfway through. I just didn't think about it till it was to late.
SO I take it that they will stick better on dry pavement?
Street racing,,,,,,,,
If you are looking for a tire for street racing I would pick up a set of Nitto DR's or there RII like has been mentioned before. Both are great tires for straight line traction. The nice thing about the RII is that it is the same compound as the DR but has stiffer sidewalls for better stability. I have run both these tires on the street/strip/road course and they did just fine. Over all I liked the RII's for track due to the car feeling much more stable through the turn. I got about 12K miles out of a set of Nitto's. This was on an 2003 cobra making right at 500rwhp. With the vette being lighter and not making as much TQ if you were careful on them I would say you could get even more miles out of a set.

Nitto R's only seem to be available in 285 or 305ZR18. If you are running the 285's, the tire height differance between 275/40/17 and 285/35/18 is only 2/10". Doesn't this cause problems w/AH?
Is any one running the 305/35/18's on 10.5x18 ZO6 wheels?
I had ecsta MX's on the back of my supra.. making 440/490 it was hard to get them to stick at anything below 80@ WOT. on a super hot day they would let go a little at 60 and then slide.
my buddy with a 01 z0 had similar problems. caused him to get real ugly going around a few corners.
Ecsta's are not nearly as good as the stock supercar's on dry pavement, either on the track or at the strip. A little better in the rain, but not much. I have a set mounted but they are my 3rd backup after F1's and Michelins.
