I am in the process of buying a supercharged coupe. Its black with black ccw's. I didnt buy the car with the ccw"s because i never really liked black wheels. But then it happened, I saw a black coupe on here with a set of chrome wagon wheels that were painted black. The center and lips were still chrome, but the rest of the wheels were a very glossy black. My question is, how do you go about doing this, so the black looks so shiney. I do not like flat black wheels. Let me tell you, you will have a new found love for wagon wheels once you see this fellow members wagons. I do not want to post his picture on here, but I think you get the idea! thanks Gary
Most of those wheels are purchased like that. Take a look on tire rack, there are a number of wagon wheel style wheels with glossy black centers and a silver polished lip. I know Work wheels has a few. Good luck with your purchase.
I'm also waiting for a reply........I have a White Coupe that they should look good on!
I've considered trying to just paint mine black with some type of chrome centers, but if they look bad or cheesey I'm stuck with them until I can afford better after market wheels.
At the very least, you will have to remove the tires from the wagon wheels to have them chromed - unless you happen to find chrome ones to start with.
Then you would probably want to have a professional painter prepare the spokes for painting and explain the him/her that you want the high gloss finish on the spokes.
It will be very limiting to wait for the right set of wheels with tires on them.
Might I suggest just buying the wheels, getting them chromed, having them painted, THEN buying tires to put on them?

Yup Gary, you definately need to get rid of those wagons. That's the only thing detracting from that fine white coupe. And even that's just being picky. Love the Firethorn interior! You need to get some more pics of that thing, it's cleannnnnnnnnnnn.
