Hello, I bought a 02 vert with only 8300 miles on it. And I wanted to know if it should have a warranty on it. or is there a way to find out if it does. Who would i contact to find out?
Based on time alone the factory warranty is probably gone. Unless there was a GMPP purchased before the factory one expired then you are kind of SOL...
When I purchased my 2003 car (as GM Certified) it still had some warranty left so I got the GMPP just in case, and now based on time alone all I have is my GMPP Major Guard.

Thanks for your help on this.

Unless the vehicle's "in-service" date was within the last 36 months, or if the previous owner purchased a GMPP before the expiration of the original factory warranty - you are out of luck.
I would PM Dennis Fichtner (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/member.php?u=162836) - provide him with your VIN and if you're lucky, he'll report to you that you have X time remaining on your extended warranty. If the previous owner purchased an extended warranty somewhere else - I have no idea how to find out what you have. Good luck!
