[Z06] hurst shifter ?

hurst shifter ?
searched but didn't find what i'm looking for. Jeg's shows the hurst part number 530-391-5085 for $189.99 that fits C5 corvettes. they also show part number 530-391-5086 for $239.99 that fits C6 corvettes. now if a stock C6 shifter fits a C5 why does hurst have 2 part numbers and a higher price? just thought it was kinda odd and wondered if anyone had any insite. they didn't have it in stock at the brance store when i was there during lunch today so i couldn't look at them side by side.

The C6 version probably just has the angled shaft.
By the way, there is seller on eBay that sells new Hurst shifters for less than the Corvette vendors. I bought mine for $150.

Note Hurst shifters are threaded to fit C5 threads, and the factory C6 **** will not work. (it is not threaded and uses a set screw)

If you go through several pages of CF classifieds, you'll find some of the HURST shifters for sale by members. Use keywords "HURST for sale" with "search this forum" in the red banner.
The only difference between the C6/Z06 and the C5/Z06 is the angled lever and probably the hole in the lever for the ergonomic C6/Z06 ****.
