.......ok......well this is a private sale and hes not a reputable wheel dealer so anyway back to the question does anyone know if these will fit a c5?
Your 9" wheel is probably 10" wide (for real). It is tough to use offset to fit wheels. Backspacing is prefered, as it is a measurement (where as offset is a calculation). Backspacing is key. I think if you Google or search on here, you will be able to figure out what offset or backspacing will get those wheels tucked in proper w/o rubbing.

OEM 18x8.5 wheel (9.5" wide?) has 54mm offset or 6.95" backspacing (or 2.55" front spacing)
The 9" wheel (well, 10") would need 10" - 2.55" to have the same distance from the wheel hub face (that mates to the rotor hat) to the front lip... or 7.45" of backspacing.
