you could have a leak that only happens when hot.
My buddy had a hairline crack in his coolant reservoir that he could only smell when the car was really hot.
He finally found the leak after it progressed. The leak was on the side of the tank facing the engine dead center of the plastic.
Keep an eye on your collant level.
