Hey Mike,
We actually tested bearings when we prototyped it. All of them failed for various reasons. We looked a few closed systems as well, but the cost would have made the units over $100
We've sold about 400 units and have had zero wheel or shaft issues.

BTW on your site a set of 3 magnetic drain plugs is listed. Is the transmision plug for a manual or are the manual and auto the same plug?
