Listening to sound clips on a computer won't really tell you a lot about the sound. Try to find a 'vette somewhere, maybe at a Show 'n Shine that is equipped close to what you're interested in and ask to hear it rumble. The guy might even take you for a rip so you can hear it inside the car!!
