I highly recommend Mobile 1 Synthetic oil, it's beneficial for better starting, better protection, faster flow, better detergent packages, no sludging or varnishing. It's a bit on the expensive side, but so is your Corvette!

Castrol Syntec/Magnatec oil is a new cheap synthetic, however, I've heard owners reporting problems which seem to be due to its high ash figure. Castrol Syntec/Magnatec has an ash figure of 1.2%, yet most other synthetics have an ash figure of <0.5% and even plain dead-dino GTX is 0.7%. Ash forms deposits on valves, engine deposits, sludge and clogs up lifters/etc. Other high-end car owners owners are
finding it leaves engines very dirty - unsurprising as they by design burn oil and thus should be affected more by an oil with a high ash figure!

Also, be very wary of those "10 Minute/Jiffy Lube" type places, do your own oil change and you'll rest assured it's done to your high standard.

I recommend using Mobil 1 5W30 Full Synthetic only.

No, not me.
The only additive I use is already in Chevron gas.

QuickSilverZ gave you all you need to know. Just maintain a regular oil change schedule with factory recommended Mobil 1 and a premium filter -- and don't contaminate it with any additive.
