It's not that dirty here in Florida, lol! Just wash it when it needs it. I would wash it when you first get here so it's looking good after the trip and you will probably be okay from there for the week!
I think what 1pt4brd is referring to is the 'salty air' down here in FL. If you stay close to the beach, the salt will eventually start the corrosion process on all the alum. If you stay right on the beach, then you have to worry about both the salt and the sand getting on the car. Sure don't want to 'dry wipe' a car with the sand on it!!
I don't think washing it everyday is necessary,
I would wash it once a week though.

As long as you dont do something like this guy did then you will be fine.
Should I wash every day while down there? Will be staying close to water. Want to keep in good shape since it will be last trip I take before selling.
YES !!! YOU should wash every day. The car won't need washed but once a week or so. If you happen to drive it on the beach (like in Daytona) then you will need to immediately wash down the underside and remove the salt.
Regardless of how often you wash the vette, it gets hot down here, so you should shower or wash daily. LOL
thanks saj716, you understood the question. I don't think I will be driving it into the water nor on the beach. Just don't have to worry about salty water in mid Missouri. Yes I am selling. But probably not until spring. Not sure what kind of takers I would get in the middle of winter.
Good Grief! Enjoy your car. Wash it if it is dirty, keep it out of the gulf (or ocean,) depending where you are going to be in Florida. Have fun, go home sell the thing and buy a mini van and be happy!
What I would be tempted to do is rig something in your driveway that you can drive over that sprays the undercarriage. That should be where most rust should show up.
