Default Water proof cover?

So I have a cheap cover on the car right now and I am looking to get something a bit better. My car doesn't get the luxury of the garage so it has to stay outside at night and I refuse to leave it outside without some kind of cover. I would like something that is more of a custom fit for a vette and possibly water proof if that is available. If you guys know any good brands please post 'em up and also let me know where you guys purchased them. Thanks a lot guys

You don't want a completely waterproof cover. You want something that will breathe and not trap moisture underneath it.

I have a cover made of Noah material, sold by several vendors. It is waterproof and breathable at the same time. It also won't scratch your paint.

This sounds like it may be a winner, how much did you pay for it?

Mid-America has it in their current catalog for $149.99. www.mamotorworks.com, if you don't have their catalog.

I've seen with my own eyes that Noah material is NOT waterproof. I've got a Wolfe Noah cover and it was left on when we got some surprise rain last week... car was very wet under the cover and now needs a serious washing to remove the water spots.

I've contemplated getting a waterproof cover to put on over the Wolfe when I know rain is coming but I dunno...

You are right, for outside use you really want a very good cover, one that has some waterproof properties and will not damage the paint in a windy situation. If you are taking it off everyday even if the car is slightly wet, that is no big deal. The cheap covers are fine for in garage use but outside you are doing the right thing by getting a quality cover.

NO cover is better than a crummy one for outside use.

also,

I keep a small spray bottle (for plants) with a tad of car wash detergent in it for a quick spray and wipe of dusty area's..(rear face and rear tail lights) , this area seems to attract all the dust and stuff flying around the road...it all goes right onto MY car....completely bypasses every other car on the road...I clean this area each time I remove the cover.
