Clean 2002 C5 Automatic, Red Targa glass roof. Carfax clean, one owner and garaged. 29,555 miles. $21,000 is the lowest the seller will take. Good deal? I wasnt in the market for a red or auto but seems like a too good of deal to pass. This will be my first vette.

Sounds like a GREAT price!!…BUT are you going to be happy with it if you would prefer a different color and transmission type? Price isn’t everything….it’s your call.

Sounds like one hellofa good deal to me!

For comparison, I bought a '97 A4 with 44K on the clock in Jan of '07 for $20K in CA.

I recently bought a used C5. Really wanted a M6 but came across a automatic I couldn't pass up. Loaded, excellent condition, no wear, black 97 with 60k for 16.5. Absolutely no regrets here.

Just make sure it has the upgraded transmission (3.15, I believe - option code G92).

The color I can get past. Never thought about owning a red car. Always gave my older bro **** for owning a red talon. I m growing into the red, kinda dig it. The tranny would be the only thing. Auto wouldnt be so bad. I am a leisurely driver too to boot. Hell I'm coming from a 1996 Volkswagon Jetta 2.0 slow 8v 5 speed that I have been driving the last few years that I still plan to keep. The vette is fully loaded with all the options including the F45 suspension I think it is called.

It sounds like a good deal, but don't talk yourself into it.

Its a go, talking with the owner as I type this.

One thing, Passenger side window does not work from either controls. Hear a clicking sound but no movement. Common problem?

Get all the background info you can to make sure it has a clean title and no surprises. You know what they say - "all Corvettes are red!"
