The computer will adjust (to some degree) for whatever octane fuel you use...87, 89, 91 or 93 octane.
It senses and changes the timing for the lower octane fuel and will reduce performance...which you may or may not detect in everyday street driving.

During winter i put 89 in mine...i hardly ever got beyond 50% throttle. Besides, that's what knock sensors are for. In summer where the thing runs real hot i put in 91.

For only $1.50 more per fillup (10 cents/gallon) I'll choose premium over plus every time.

Hell, I run top tier gas in the lawn mower, snow blower, and yard equipment. (I like the added detergents) We're not talking about a big saving over a year. It IS a Vette. Treat her like a lady, she will repay you the favour. Also I feel Seafoam routines aid the fuel system as well.

I am FUSSY about my Vettes . That is because I am passionate about them.
They get only the best premium top tier gasoline available Shell V-Power if it is available. If not, I will run Sunoco Ultimate 94 octane.

I am not sure why someone would buy a performance car and then wonder about the $1.50 a tank over midgrade.. I buy 93 octane all the time. Why risk a problem.......
