It has been a term for the wide spoke wheels for years here. They are disliked by many members. As time goes on, new members don’t know they are bad. It is a mater of taste, not what everybody else prefers.

Since it's a matter of taste there is nothing 'bad' about them. Telling new members "they are bad" is BAD information. In, fact they don't suffer any of the hairline cracking issues of the much more common (ho, hum ) thinspoke OEM's and weigh less than much of the garbage aftermarket crap people replace them with for bling effect which negatively affects handling.
If you want your Corvette to wear jewelry then it's your choice. IMO, jewelry is best suited for women to wear; not Corvettes.
I just replaced mine with thin spokes and couldn't be happier. I never liked the looks of wagon wheels and now they're sitting in my garage until I figure out what to do with them. Here is a picture of my black 99 with the chrome wagon wheels as you requested.
Yeah i love how some members on this forum are so set in their ways that they think "new" members need time to come to their senses and come up with the same opinion.
Wheels are wheels, in the end it's left up to preference and what you want on YOUR car. Not my choice, but I won't be knocking someone if they want them.
