T-Top lever stuck!!
Hello All,
The lever at the rear of my t-top has stopped working. I tried to open it the other day and noticed that when I pushed the release the lever would not spring down. The lever is not in position but no rests completely against the roof. I can't move it enough to get my fingers under it to pull it down. I'm afraid to pull to hard in fear of braking the lever off.
Does anyone know how to release the lever so I can remove the top and maybe get it repaired. I noticed that the rubber stopper fell above the lever. My guess is it came out of position and "locked" the lever past the spring tension
Otherwise, it's a trip to the dealer $$$$ I don't think my extended warranty covers this
Oh yeah, it's a 2004 Coupe ... and only 10,000 miles on it

Not sure if this will help but; i have had the same thing happen to me a couple of times...i found that if i unlock the back first all is fine but if i unlock the fronts first the back latch dosn't allways want to release

I hope that tj37_2's suggestion works but if not, your GMPP warranty should cover EVERYTHING on the car...as far as I know it's only "general wear and tear items" that are not covered! Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this though!

That happened to me but It's been 3 or 4 yrs and I can't remember what I did,It had to be simple because I know I played with it and released it.Sorry can't help much someone here on the forum can help they are very good at things like this.
