this is the corvette forum right? i want a 50th anniversary corvette lighter. they made a beautiful set. I've tried ebay...didn't find the one i want. i can give a link with the pic...sorry for the sarcasm...lol

i mean seriously, dont post things if you have nothing to say. its for a gift. someone who has a 50th. i need to find someone that can help me find this lighter. dont waste my time please. i've spent days online looking for this and i'm running out of patience. i can't find it anywhere...

I collect Zippos, but do not have that one, and I'm not sure of its availability, give me a while and I'll search.

As they were an edition of 5,000 there should be plenty around somewhere (Zippo's limited editions are usually 400 or 500, 5,000 is quite a large amount for such relatively limited appeal).
I am surprised that neither of us can find examples listed on any of the Zippo sites, I can't even find reference to it on the actual Zippo site.
Your best bet may be to call Zippo direct and ask about the availability
(814) 368-2700. They may have some at the factory, or could point you to the most likely retail suppliers.

This guy has a gold Zippo 50th, and he sells almost anything you could ever imagine for the 50th anniversary Vette. If you can't find what you're looking for here, he has lots of options.

thanks anyways. I found one on ebay this morning, just posted today, but the reserve is $200 and I didn't think it should be that much considering one went last week for $102. Thanks anyways

Mmmmmm, checked out the Zippo on e-bay. It does seem like a lot of money. I can't think that they are that rare. I'm sure that if you were not in a hurry you would be able to find one for less than $100. But, if you "need" it for Christmas, sometimes you have to pay the price.
What about any of the other Corvette Zippos that are out there, there are many other "regular" models for less than $50.
