I recently purchased a set of Z06 replica Wheels. They are made in China. Will they be able to handle a few runs at the drag strip with my stock 1998 C5 ,or is that a bad idea?

Ask the manufacturer or distributor of the wheels. This is really difficult to answer, not knowing what type of wheels, whether they're new, purchased used, how long they've been used, etc.
For example, the brand name FACTORY REPRODUCTION wheels specifically have a two year warranty on finish and life time structural warranty. Other "reproduction" wheels have a three year warranty on the finish only.
The caveat might be that racing is an exception in the manufacturers warranty. You'd need to read the warranty for the specific wheels you're asking about.

I wouldn't put a set road racing slicks and take them to a road course, but a few runs on a drag strip on street tires is nothing. I've got about 30 laps on the Nurburgring and at least 100 autoX runs, a few drag strip passes and up to 180mph on the autobahn on a set of Z06 Motorsports/Kumho MX tires w/o a problem
