Default Z06 SCCA approved rollcage?

Any ideas on the cost and any place to purchase a SCCA approved rollcage, not rollbar a fullcage.

LG is having a sale that includes:

Corvette C5 roll bars(SCCA) for $795, but since you said no
roll bars I believe they also do full cages. They have one in their
C7 with a detachable driver's side bar. The last time I was there I
thought Lou jr said they were doing 6 roll cages for 6 different
vettes. You'll have to call them to get a price for the roll cage.

Now, if you want a second local place, talk to Dan or Keith at Speedworks in Lewisville. 972 395 9844. They do nice custom roll cages in C5's. I have seen
their finished work, and it's pretty nice.

Either roll cage will be more $$$$ then a typical f-body or mustang one since I haven't seen any mass produce ones so they will all be a custom job. One more thing, the roll cage will most likely be welded to the frame so if you ever sell the car the cage will be pretty permanent.

Here's a third local option.

They recently started doing C5 cages so you'll have to call them
for a price and availability. There are some nice FRC cage pics on their site.

Thank you, anyone have a full cage? Could you give us the Pro/Cons for normal driving.

To have any effective type of door bar on the drivers side, you'll need to cut, or remove the inner door panel. My fabricator was able to work out the passenger side diagonal doorbar so that he just had to remove the hand grip from that door panel. Be advised that any drivers side doorbar will limit your room to get into and out of the car. You'll probably lose an inch or more at the top of the door frame also. I'm 6'3 and my cage was custome built to allow me as much room as possible, but I wouldn't be interested in driving the car as a daily ride. But it is a real hoot at the track ;-)

I have installed the Kirk rollcage in my Z06 and there are lots of pics on my website at http://www.doctaboxsta.com
I chose the Kirk bolt-in version, but they also make the same cage in a weld-in. The anchor plates for the bolt-in have to be welded in, in case you were wondering.
