Default Fuel Filter

Going to replace my fuel filter - '99 Coupe -LS1 as I have to replace my exhaust system anyway. Can get a Wix locally but are they as good as an AC Delco or Purolator?
Need some replys guys.

I don't know if it is still true, but the engineer that was responsible for the project when the C5 came out said that Dana corp (Wix) made all of them and just resold them to the other brands.
He claimed the market was too small for others to tool up to make them.

WIX filters are the class or their field. I've taken apart oil filters from a dozen manufactures and WIX was head a shoulders above them all, including AC. I have to assume their fuel filters are the same. The AC was tied for second.

99 coupes didn't come with LT1's
