Driving a C5 in snow?
I daily drive mine in the snow/ice. I only do after the plow has been thru. I currently have Kuhmo Ecxtas on but the Avon all seasons were a better tire all around. I'd suggest them!

Have done it-- once!
Decided after that the Grand Am was a much better choice.
Wet roads are ok, but throw in a bit of snow and ice and its not pretty.
Can be done, yes, would do it if the other car is not running, but why take the chance if you have another option.

I don't know why it couldn't be done if you put some winter tires on it. I would recommend Blizzacks baised on experience with them on other cars.
My 1967 with the 435 hp engine was my daily driver through 5 Minnesota and Wisconsin winters when it was new. It survived, why wouldn't a C5?

Drove mine home from work one day after getting caught in 3 inches of snow. Was not a fun time but it can be done.
If the active handeling light was not on seemed the ABS light was on.
If you have another car, take it, leave the vette in the garage.
On the other hand, a black vette does look great in the snow!!!

The day I picked up my new C5, it was snowing. Even with brand new everything, it was not a relaxing trip by any means. Even with just 1/2" - 1" of snow on my driveway with a bit of a grade, the C5 got stuck. I had to shovel to get it in my driveway.
You can buy dedicated snow tires for the C5, but it will still be a hand-full and you still have to out-manuever the other crazy people in DD's and crappy winter rats. In fact, for the price of Eagle EMT's on wheels with sensors, you could probably BUY a winter rat! With or without snow tires, I never plan to drive a Vette in the snow again.
Also, don't forget road salt will consume the skeleton of a C5... aluminum does corrode as does steel once the coating is broken. Salt will make the undercarriage look terrible as it slowly destroys it.
If you go for it, good luck and God's speed.

Sure, why not?

Seriously, I don't drive my C5 in snow - that pic was taken when I bought my C5. However, I know a few guys here who drive their C5 in snow. With proper tires and calmness you should be fine.
