Default Anyone get a wheel alignment recently?

I am looking for 2002 Z06 alignment specs. I understand that they are different than the 2001 Z06.

Lambinator, speedy-gonzalez gave me those SAME specs as a 2001. Are they the same as an '02?

probably are the same specs anyway...

if you are getting an alignment, why not go for a performance alignment instead of stock? I just went with 5.8 caster, -1.25 camber front, -1.00 camber rear.

Lambinator, what are the advantages/disadvantages with the performance specs? Why are all Z06's not aligned that way?

the performance specs are for performance driving situations - such as at the track or autoX. More camber gives you better turn-in, and also plants the tire flatter under side loads.

The downside is that on the street you might see a little more wear on the inside of the tire (which is why GM didn't do it to begin with - they have to please EVERYONE). The upside is that on the track where you would typically see the outside edge of the tire wearing, with a performance alignment you don't see the outside edge wearing.

If you are strictly street driving, I wouldn't go with a performance alignment. If you do a combo of each type of driving, I'd add some camber.

I have the stock alignment, and I'm getting wear on the inside of the front tires. The dealer says this is normal for the way they set them up at the factory.

If you want to play, you gots to pay.... Oh well.
Speedy! How are ya?

I had the factory alignment, and after one outing on track the outside edges of the tires were feathered.
