Heat shield with header install

Would a heat shield be a good idea to install with the new headers? If so what would be a good one to use?

I used "koolsox" on wires that run close to the headers........

From: the GOCC are everywhere, even back from "band camp"

Plug wires covers and the Elite Engineering thermal plate are both good ideas while doing the headers.

I put a ceramic coated tunnel plate on mine with my ARH install this summer. I purchased mine from Elite Engineering. I did not go for their deluxe package that also has the heat shield padding. I thought that was overkill. I have noticed no issues with excessive heat in the cabin near the center console. Some say you do not need these but I think it was money well spent. LG also makes a tunnel plate as do some other vendors on this forum. Good luck with it.
