RaleighSS, your link shows some good videos, but not of a STOCK Z06 with the exhaust bypass mod:
"I love how my stock TI exhaust sounds with my cam/heads/headers, and was weary to put on a new exhaust to increase the volume. Brandon, a friend in the car club I am in, had a set of custom TI exhausts which had a piece of titanium welded in to partially bypass the muffler. It is hard to tell in the video, but the new exhaust livens the car up a decent amount, but not to the point it is obnoxious or loses the TI sound."
I've been searching for the stocker video/audio file and can't find one either.
Hey Z06 guys - as you well know a lot of C5's have been upfitted with Tis. Here is an old thread I saved from jtkeller. Maybe he would have some specs on the pipe he ordered. It appears finding a cutter/welder may be the trick. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1740627
I'm currently searching for my Canon DVR AC adapter and when I find it, I'll shoot some video of mine. I am "lightly" modded so I just have an intake LT headers with cats and the modded Ti setup.
okay...except it actually isn't....so i'm not sure what you're talking about. that first video is clearly labeled modded ti, x pipe and long tube headers.
I hope sombody does post one thats bone stock. I personally like the car stock and dont want to mess with it. If I had the money I would do these mods but I'm looking ahead already and hopefully in a couple of years when the C6 z06 goes down in price thats what I would get. Just wanting to hear a stock car with the mod to see if its worth the run around in finding sombody to do it etc.
Woohoo! Plugged it into the [recently re-installed] Firewire, camera detected, it's setup in Moviemaker, ready to encode. It's also charging so I can shoot some fresh footage (going to try the tripod out the trunk trick, heheheheh, hopefully there won't be a camera-meets-street mishap ).
Hopefully I can shoot, encode, deploy to our Photobucket and let everybody check it out.
Again, I'm "lightly modified" with the Ti Bypass exhaust (so just headers + cats and a blackwing).

DT, I'm sure that several here appreciate your efforts. However, given your mods, perhaps posting the soundbite to a new thread would be more appropriate? I believe zeus79 is seeking (like so many others, including myself) a sound file of a completely stock Z06 with this tailpipe mod.Your aftermarket headers and cats would induce a SIGNIFICANT sound change even without the tailpipe bypass mod.
I'm beginning to get very skeptical of the benefits of this one simple modification just for enhanced sound qualities.

again thats why im wanting to hear a bone stock Z. Im seeing on the forum that many have had a hard time finding sombody who can weld the titanium and do it right. I appriciate everybody's effort with the sound clips. Im focused only on bone stock with the mod only.

OK, well, I'm going to crawl under a rock I guess...
I kid, I kid!
Totally understandable about getting a sense of how it sounds on a stock car - keep an eye out though (if you're at all interested in low mods + Ti bypass) I am going to start a new thread! Wow, it's LOUD on the camera, holy hell!!
I shot outside starting - from the trunk using a tripod (at speeds the wind noise kind of overwhelms the mic [I'll try that again, it was pretty neat]), and got some from my IOPort camera mount inside the car.
I just logged into this sight today and searched around. I was supprised to find my work posted here. The video in post #6 was a guy who contacted me on another site. I did this Ti bypass For $75, as he paid for all the materials. The next set i did for $200 again the client paid for materials. His name was Mitch, but i have no idea what site he was from as the original client referred him to me. Just saying hi to everyone on the site, fell free to ask any questions regarding the mod, Don
