With the help of a friend and his lift I installed new Corsa Pace Car Tigershark's on my 01. It took longer to align the tips than to install the system... Problem is, after a 15 mile or so test run every thing moved. The center 2 tips were actually touching.
The system was torqued at the instructions 40ft lbs. I just realinged everything and set the torque 65 ft lbs. Any opinions on this torq setting? Also it seems to be near impossible to get the tips in perfect alignment. I havent had the chance to drive it since realigning.
....Thanks in advance for any opinions.......

Just put them on my 2001 last week. Same problem. I think the mounting tongues on the mufflers are just a hair too far outboard and act as a pivot rotating the two inner tips closer together. Not sure if I can figure out a way to move the rubber muffler mounts outboard easily - so close and yet so far!
Same problem here. I cannot stand it. I guess it is my left brain thinking. I communicated with Zip over my dissatisfaction, no response. Went by there again to speak with the manager. They took pictures and said they would send them to Corsa. Blew me off again. I understand that the tips can move abit. But they are screwed up from the beginning. Love the exhaust system itself, it is bad a$$, but I wanted what I purchased. I researched and decided on these pipes as advertised on the web-site. They are perfectly straight on the site.
I am having the same problem with mine also. Its a PITA to align them every other week. I called Gus M. at CORSA and spoke to him about the problem. Still do not have mine fixed. Same result as you speaking to the guys at ZIPS (NADA). Its the clamps they suck. I wonder how many other members are having this problem. Its not like this is a $10part.
Hi
I had a problem with my touring set ( wifes cars) - Tim at corsa was great - i guess i got lucky it was almost funfest time so I waited brought car up there and had them do it....I have an 01 - we noticed there is a high and low insert for the mufflers to sit into ( car brackets)
The problem was they were almost sitting on the side fender and not straight, more then enough to P--off the Good Humor Man. Sent pics to Tim who was great and these were second hand Corsa only about 1k mile. He sent me instructions, called -- talk about customer service ( I'm in that business ) he went above and beyond. Could have been my charm ( doubt that 60 yr ole guy)
-- must have had a blonde moment along with some other old gear heads one noticed we had one muffler in top slot and one in bottom -
Anyway i still let Corsa fix them at fun fest
Doesnt solve your problem - just sharing mine
Len
This as close as I could get them. I'll jiggle them some more at the shop then tack them. You will never get them perfect because all four are welded to the mufflers. It's almost impossible to get the spacing between the center tips the same as the left and right tips. They should all be the same distance apart to look correct. Am I wrong here? I think that Corsa needs to rethink the jigs these are assembled in. The two sides are not siamese.

Photo 1 shows how the tips looked after my first drive with the clamps torqued to the Corsa spec of 40 ft. lbs. The center pipes were touching. A lot of effort went into the 1st alignment...
The second photo shows how they look now, after realinging and the torque set at 65 ft. lbs. Most of the second alignment was done by pulling the muffler pipe out of the over the axel pipe. I slid the drivers side out over half inch. The 2nd photo was taken after a fun 40 mile drive. I hope the 65 lb torque holds them in place, if not I'll try a little higher then get them tack welded..... Thanks for all of the input...
